As Technical Compliance Officer, your role will be to provide technical and regulatory compliance support to customers and be an integral part of the wider technical department.

This exciting new vacancy is based at our head office in central Leeds. Here at Surfachem, no two days are the same! We’re looking for an exceptional technical compliance officer with a can-do attitude.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete customer compliance, regulatory and quality questionnaires, utilising information sourced from internal systems and from manufacturers and suppliers
  • Provide departmental assistance with customer enquiries
  • Compile regulatory statements for customers
  • Maintain internal product databases, periodically sourcing updates from suppliers
  • Assist the departmental manager and technical colleagues with audits
  • Assist the departmental manager with departmental analytics
  • Maintain organisation of electronic departmental systems
  • Set up electronic Certificate of Analysis templates
  • Take a lead role in the COA team
  • Provide other departments with training and assistance towards COA compliance
  • Prepare safety data sheets and update customers accordingly

Education

  • Chemistry degree or equivalent (desirable)

Experience

  • Prior experience in a chemical/science environment (desirable)
  • Previous experience delivering presentations (desirable)
  • Chemical Industry (desirable)
