Corporate & Social Responsibility

Surfachem and the 2M Group of Companies have an established commitment towards corporate and social responsibility. Our primary focus is to help make career opportunities within Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) accessible to the next generation of business and industry.

Our corporate and social responsibility highlights:

  • 2016 saw a record number of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering graduates recruited into the 2M Group of Companies.
  • In 2017 the Chemical Business Association commended 2M’s STEM program which engaged 550 young people as an ‘outstanding contribution’ to the community.
  • In 2017 Surfachem began supporting the Prince’s Trust.
  • In 2018 Surfachem’s STEM Ambassadors supported the Bradford Science Festival

Alongside STEM activities we are actively making our business more sustainable. In the past year through efficiency optimisations we’ve reduced electricity usage at our distribution centre by 31%, and carbon dioxide emissions by 6%.
