With water demand set to outweigh supply by 40% by 2030, and set to increase by 55% by 2050, the Cosmetics industry must embrace change to counteract the consequences.
What’s more, water use has grown globally at more than twice the rate of population increase in the last century - what will this look like in another century?
The average person directly uses around 140 litres of water per day. On top of this, we indirectly use anywhere between 1,500-10,000 litres of water per day - eg. food and clothes production.
