Evonik Dr. Straetmans GmbH appoint Surfachem as new distribution partner

Surfachem has been appointed as the official distribution partner for Evonik Dr. Straetmans GmbH (Hamburg, Germany) in the UK & Ireland. Following this change, Surfachem will now be responsible for the distribution of Evonik Nutrition and Care’s complete portfolio of personal care ingredients within the UK and Ireland.

Following the acquisition of Dr. Straetmans GmbH by Evonik Nutrition & Care GmbH in May 2017, its distribution networks have been reviewed. Effective from the 1st April 2020, all orders from the Dr. Straetmans® product portfolio will be fulfilled by Surfachem.

Surfachem has worked in partnership with Evonik Nutrition & Care GmbH in the UK & Ireland for over 12 years.

Ingredient Description
dermosoft® 1388 eco Convenient blend of plant derived organic acids with broad antimicrobial activity. The balanced combination of ingredients offers an effective multi-functionality for a wide range of cosmetic products. It brings skin conditioning, masking, pH regulating and antimicrobial activity in to the product.
dermosoft® 1388 This blend offers an easy to use product with a broad antimicrobial activity and masking properties. It can be used alone in surfactant based systems. In emulsions, the combination with boosting surface active agents is recommended.
dermosoft® Octiol This multi-functional additive, with viscosity regulating function, has excellent wetting properties and a broad efficacy against germs. The use of this raw material and its efficacy underlies no pH restrictions. Due to it's amphiphilic molecule, it may reduce the viscosity of emulsions when used at higher concentrations.
dermosoft® 700B This sugar cane offers an organic acid with excellent water solubility and bactericidal activity. This fragrance and flavouring material can be used in combination with antimicrobial surface active substances, and with other organic acids to fully unfold its activity.
dermosoft® Pentiol eco A sustainable and natural compliant quality of Pentylene Glycol. Liquid, water soluble, multifunctional additive with pH independent activity and low impact on emulsion stability. Combination with co-active or higher concentrations improve the antimicrobial efficacy.
dermosoft® GMCY MB A vegetable based wetting agent with strong activity against bacteria and yeast. dermosoft® GMCY MB is an excellent booster for organic acids and different listed preservatives. Due to it's amphiphilic structure, it lowers the surface tension.
