In 2018, there were around 20,000 personal care products launched in Europe with a ‘natural’ claim - that’s a huge increase from the turn of the century where there were virtually none!
Within the personal care industry, we’ve identified two main sub-trends;
- Concentrated products which require less packaging and can be transported more efficiently.
- Zero or recyclable packaging and poor biodegradability caused by single-use plastics has been widely documented.
