According to Mintel, as a result of lockdown, UK adults have been more motivated to set wellness goals to improve health, feel happier, look better and take control of their wellbeing.
With many of us working from home, Surfachem recognised the importance of maintaining positive mental and physical well-being at this challenging time. From this, we launched an internal fitness challenge for the month of July, to see which department could cover the most distance. The challenge encouraged all types of exercise: running, walking, cycling, swimming, climbing, horse riding and more!
We are proud to share that over the course of July, our team collectively covered 8,050.2km.
Our fitness challenge winners are as follows:
Congratulations to Phil and Kasia (Business Management), who as a team, covered the most distance. As recognition for their efforts, both winners chose a charity they would like to support, with Surfachem making donations to The Beckley Foundation and RNLI.
A huge well done to all those took part - an absolutely brilliant effort, and a great example of how to take care of mental and physical wellbeing during unprecedented times.
