The prevalence of sensitive skin is on the rise. Environmental factors and psychological stress both affect the skin, and in turn, how consumers perceive themselves in their day-to-day lives.
In 2019, there were 4300 European personal care products launched with the claim 'for sensitive skin', a 4% increase on 2018. France, Germany and the UK were the most popular markets for this claim, with these three countries collectively representing 34% of all launches ‘for sensitive skin’.
